Title: Track & OCS Supervisor
Duration: 12 month Contract
Location: Toronto, ON - On site 100%
Salary: Flexible based on experience $40-50/hr
Work Schedule: Predominantly night shifts with occasional day and afternoon shifts (flexible +/- 1 hour)
- Night: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Afternoon: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Day: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Our client is a leader in the transportation and rail industry. They are looking for a Track & OCS Supervisor to join their team for a 12 month contract.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily reporting functions
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
- Leading a well-versed team that requires strong leadership
- Maintaining schedules
- Accurate reporting and documentation
- Understanding operational requirements and Alstom policies
- Managing tools, vehicles, and personnel effectively
Qualifications:
- Lead and manage a diverse group of individuals; 15 direct reports
- Track & OCS team
- Maintenance personnel
- Work closely with Power Distribution and Signaling Supervisors
- 3–5 years of experience in track work
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing people in an industrial work environment
- Experienced with maintenance functions, well-versed in plans, creating plans, and scheduling
- Familiar with power distribution to Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs)
- Ability to write reports, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to policies, rules, and regulations
- Documentation and reporting will account for approximately 25% of the role
- Primary Technical Focus Areas:
- Understanding the OCS system (750 volts) – high-voltage training provided
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Comfortable working at heights and around high-voltage systems
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with GSI & SCS (work order and time entry systems) – training provided
- Ability to complete shift change reports, daily logs, and incident reports (training on documentation requirements will be provided)
