Ad Ops Specialist

Location - ideally Toronto

Compensation - $50K

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ad Ops Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support traders in the execution, management, and optimization of Programmatic, Social, and Google advertising campaigns. You will be responsible for campaign setup, trafficking, reporting, and assisting with data analysis to drive campaign performance and achieve client objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Campaign Setup and Trafficking:
  • Set up and launch programmatic, search and social media campaigns across various platforms (DSPs, search, social ad platforms).
  • Traffic ad creatives, ensuring proper implementation of ad tags and tracking pixels.
  • Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and delivery.
  • Ensure all campaign elements are accurate and comply with platform specifications.
  • Campaign Management and Optimization:
  • Monitor campaign performance, identify areas for optimization, and implement changes to improve results.
  • Analyze campaign data (e.g., impressions, clicks, CTR, conversion rates) to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Optimize campaigns based on performance data, A/B testing, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot campaign issues, including ad serving errors, tracking discrepancies, and technical problems.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate and refresh regular campaign performance reports.
  • Assist data analysts in collecting and organizing data for in-depth analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of reporting dashboards and data visualization tools.
  • Identify trends and insights from campaign data to inform future strategies.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with traders, data analysts, and other team members to ensure smooth campaign execution.
  • Communicate campaign updates, performance results, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized campaign documentation and records.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in digital advertising, ad operations, or programmatic media buying is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising concepts, including programmatic buying, RTB, DSPs, SSPs, ad servers and social media advertising platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups) and/or other data processing/visualization or analytic tools (Data Studio, Tableau, Alteryx, GA, etc.)
  • Experience with ad serving platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, The Trade Desk) and social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about existing and emerging digital media and ad products
