As a Warehouse Associate at our food distribution company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the timely delivery of food products to our valued customers. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment will contribute to the overall success of our operations. Responsibilities:
· Order Fulfillment: Accurately and efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment based on customer requirements and company standards.
· Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory counts, ensure proper rotation of products, and assist with stock replenishment to maintain optimal inventory levels.
· Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify the quantity and quality of products, report any discrepancies or damages, and adhere to food safety guidelines.
· Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, following standard operating procedures, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.
· Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling and storage of food products, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Documentation: Accurately complete required paperwork, such as packing slips, shipping labels, and inventory records, ensuring data integrity and timely submission.
· Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including drivers, supervisors, and other warehouse associates, to ensure efficient workflow and timely order processing.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, suggest innovative solutions, and actively participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
BONUS: Ability to drive a 5 Ton Truck
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is a plus.
