The Camp Coordinator is responsible for overseeing field operations as a support for the Camp Director.
Primary Responsibilities

• Each Season (Summer/Year-round/March Break) update the Program and field trip to maintain a sense of appeal and engagement for children at all times.
• Keep a thorough record of the activities planned for each group on each day of the week.
• Communicate with the director, staff, and children to ensure the program is being delivered as planned.
• Fill in and teach the program when a Lead Counselor is absent/late.
• Track staff shift hours and share any changes/issues with the coordination and administrative team.
• Ensure that all camp items are returned to the storing units such as shirts, attendance forms, first aid kits.
• Communicate with the Director replacement or replenishment of camp items.
• Account for lost items.
• Manage before & aftercare sessions as required.
• Lead/assist with the training and onboarding of new staff members.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience Requirements

• Experience working with children
• Team management / Team Leader experience
• First aid/CPR training
• Vulnerable sector screening required
• Fluent in English, second and third languages welcome!
• Be an outdoors enthusiast and a nature lover!

Additional Requirements
Please be aware that our outdoors program carries on rain or shine! The successful candidate will dress and conduct activities according to the weather. On days with extreme weather conditions (i.e. heatwave, rain) please note that the daily schedule may be subject to change to ensure the safety of campers and staff and the functionality of the program.
Hours:
Full time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (2 hours unpaid lunch)
Part time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 pm & 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
P.A. Days, March Break, Easter Monday, Summer School Break. Hours subject to change depending on program's needs.
