Job Overview
- Employee onboarding/offboarding and administering group benefits and RRSP programs.
- Process bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner and review employee timecards for compliance.
- Handle various payroll adjustments, respond to employee inquiries, and manage group benefits and RRSP programs.
- Prepare Record of Employments (ROE) and annual T4s, and track employee vacation and sick days.
- Ensure compliance with government remittances and manage apprenticeship processes.
- Prepare job advertisements, screen resumes, and conduct interviews.
- Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, maintain employee files, and support IT requirements.
- Conduct exit interviews, assist with corporate events, and manage HR communications.
- Update company policies and the Employee Handbook annually.
- 2+ years of HR & payroll experience, ideally within a non-union environment
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Payroll legislation & BC employment law
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Positive demeanor, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate Excel skills are strongly desired.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification is an asset.
