Job Posting – Hose Technician
Are you mechanically inclined and thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment? As a Hose Technician, you'll play a critical role in assembling, testing, and servicing hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies that keep our clients' operations running smoothly. You'll use specialized cutting, crimping, and testing equipment to deliver quality hose solutions, while providing exceptional service to walk-in customers and supporting our counter staff.

What you'll do
Fabricate assemblies: Cut hose to exact lengths, install fittings, crimp and test per customer specifications
Quality control: Inspect each assembly for leaks, proper crimp dimensions, and accurate labeling
Customer support: Greet and advise walk-in customers, help select the right hose and fitting solutions
Equipment upkeep: Clean, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on crimpers, testers, and cutting tools
Inventory tasks: Track stock levels, restock consumables, and assist with receiving deliveries
Safety & housekeeping: Keep the shop floor tidy, follow all PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
What we're looking for
Hands-on experience in a hose/fittings shop or similar mechanical role (asset)
Mechanical aptitude and comfort using shop equipment (cutters, crimpers, testers)
Attention to detail: you catch even small defects and take pride in high-quality work
Good communicator: able to explain options to customers and collaborate with team members
Physically fit: able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work safely around machinery
Safety mindset: consistently follows protocols and speaks up about hazards
Forklift certification is an asset (we're happy to train you if needed)
Key Competencies

Basic computer skills for logging work orders and inventory
Working Conditions
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime during peak periods
Primarily shop-floor work with some counter interaction
Exposure to shop noise, dust, and moving equipment
Requires proper use of safety gear (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves)
