Join us today as we are currently hiring a Billings Supervisor based in Dartmouth, NS. Position Overview: The Billings Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day billing and settlements processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks related to driver pay and customer invoicing. This role supervises a team of billing analysts and acts as a key point of contact for both internal operations and external customer billing inquiries. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Driver Pay & Settlements:
  • Run weekly overtime (OT) reports for drivers and send to Operations for review and approval.
  • Balance weekly driver pay reports as needed, including acting as backup during absences or high-volume periods.
  • Review and process driver pay fixes daily to ensure timely and accurate compensation.
  • Calculate statutory holiday pay for drivers as required.
  • File and forward driver training forms to the billing team as needed.
Customer Billing Oversight:
  • Monitor and manage the billing email inbox, responding to customer complaints and inquiries regarding invoice discrepancies.
  • Assist billing analysts in resolving complex billing issues and customer concerns.
Team Supervision:
  • Supervise a team of billing analysts, providing day-to-day support, training, and guidance.
  • Conduct performance reviews, approve vacation requests, and manage general team scheduling.
  • Support billing analysts by helping with billing tasks as needed, especially during peak periods or when coverage is required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in billing, payroll, or settlements, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll concepts including overtime, statutory pay, and corrections.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with billing/payroll systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional departments.
