Temporary Full-Time. (up to one year contract)$64,717 - $86,789 per year. (34 hours per week)Under the mandate of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, major responsibilities include:
- Provides ongoing child protection service to all assigned cases under supervision.
- Conducts child protection investigations following reports that children are or may be at risk and does so in accordance with the Standards of the Ontario Risk Assessment Model.
- Works with parents and/or parent substitutes, and children in their own homes to collaborate with other community resources, and/or extended family in the efforts to prevent or alleviate situations which may be detrimental to the family functioning and/or to the well-being of the children.
- Collaborates with other services within the organization and community to ensure the best possible service to the family.
- Focus on community engagement and building partnerships with those in our community who work with and support the Indigenous community.
- Co-ordinates all court related documentation to assigned cases.
- Prepares all written work in connection with the assigned caseload.
- Develops and reviews service plans in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S.W./M.S.W. preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as deemed acceptable by the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, individuals, families, groups.
- Demonstrated skills in assessment and case management.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise reports, computer literate and able to meet deadlines and other administrative requirements.
