Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Portfolio Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of the Bank's credit risk portfolio. This role is responsible for monitoring portfolio quality, managing non-performing loans (NPLs), overseeing credit provisions, performing stress testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong credit risk knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to support internal and external reporting needs while collaborating across departments.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct regular monitoring and analysis of the credit asset portfolio, including generating reports and identifying significant risk events.
- Utilize credit risk monitoring tools to assess portfolio risks and manage watch-list clients.
- Develop and track asset quality budgets and maintain dashboards that provide management with insight into portfolio health.
- Prepare comprehensive credit portfolio reports, including industry and client concentration analysis.
- Monitor and manage concentration risks to support portfolio diversification.
- Act as the main point of contact for regulatory inquiries (e.g., OSFI) and ensure timely, accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal/external auditors and respond to findings related to credit risk.
- Manage credit provisions, ensuring alignment with internal risk ratings and expected credit losses (ECL).
- Oversee NPL management, including recovery tracking and reporting on write-offs.
- Ensure accuracy of credit data through regular validations and reconciliations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support integrated credit risk solutions.
- Support credit-related tasks assigned by the Team Head and CRO, including requests from Head Office, OSFI, Ethidex, and BCP.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk, credit portfolio management, or corporate/commercial lending is essential.
- Ideally, 2–3 years working directly with provisions, RWA, or ECL frameworks.
- Experience with regulatory reporting (e.g., OSFI interactions or audit response) is a major asset.
- Exposure to credit policy, risk dashboards, or portfolio analytics is highly beneficial.
- Strong skills in data validation, reporting, and use of credit risk dashboards or systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field; FRM/CFA considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with various stakeholders.
