Job Description

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to play a crucial role in optimizing our production scheduling.

This position is responsible for planning and scheduling production functions, ensuring smooth workflow from engineering to final assembly. This role requires strong coordination with various departments to align production timelines, optimize resources, and report on production status.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure materials and resources are available.
  • Perform daily reviews of job progress and stage materials accordingly.
  • Monitor production progress, adjust schedules, and resolve conflicts to address delays or changing priorities.
  • Prepare build cards and material requirements for released sales orders.
  • Print, prepare, and distribute work packages to production teams.
  • Review and approve daily time sheets for production team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, changes, and updates.
  • Analyze production capacity and suggest adjustments to accommodate demand fluctuations.
  • Generate reports on production status, efficiency, and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure clear communication of completion dates and updates across departments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and experience with ERP systems.
  • Post-secondary education in operations management, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
  • Certification in Planning, Scheduling, or Production Control (e.g., ASCM) is desirable.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions, build lists, and drawings.

Working Conditions:

  • Combination of office (80%) and shop floor (20%) to check production status.
  • Requires walking, standing, and occasional lifting to verify materials.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when on the shop floor, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
