Position: Financial Compliance Analyst

Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid)

Salary: $34 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, 3-month contract

Our client is currently looking for a Financial Compliance Analyst to support their Corporate Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing financial disclosures, maintaining compliance tracking systems, monitoring filing deadlines, and ensuring proper fee assessments.

Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze annual and interim financial statements, management discussion & analysis (MD&A), and related filings for compliance with applicable reporting standards.

- Maintain a database of reporting issuer information, including filing activity, fee payments, and deficiencies.

- Monitor issuer compliance and initiate follow-up actions, including issuing or revoking cease trade orders where applicable.

- Confirm fee calculations and ensure appropriate payments are made in line with regulatory rules.

- Respond to inquiries from stakeholders (issuers, legal counsel, agents) regarding filing obligations and status updates.

- Support enforcement and reporting processes with documentation and analysis as needed.

Requirements:

- Diploma or degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.

- Professional experience in financial compliance, audit, regulatory review, corporate finance, or a similar field. Experience with public companies is preferred.

- Familiarity with financial reporting standards, disclosure practices, and compliance frameworks is essential. Experience with SEDAR or related platforms is an asset.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Must be comfortable shifting between remote work and occasional in-office presence.
