ABOUT THE ROLE We're hiring a skilled and proactive Project Manager to lead construction projects from planning through completion. In this role, you'll report to the Director of Construction, and in collaboration with the site leadership team, you'll lead all aspects of project delivery to achieve a high standard of project delivery and operations excellence through focus on quality, schedule, people leadership and financial management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Leadership:

  • Collaborate with consultants to determine specifications, design requirements, value engineering and constructability.
  • Collaborate with trades, vendors and teams to develop project plans, sequence, risk mitigations and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Site Superintendents and Project Coordinators on a daily basis to ensure smooth coordination and planning of required resources (labour, equipment, materials) to achieve project schedule.
  • Proactively communicate project updates and expectations to teams, trades and stakeholders.
  • Manage construction projects from start to finish—planning, scheduling, organizing, and evaluating work to meet design, timeline, and budget requirements.
  • Collaborate with estimators and senior team to manage negotiations and tender process for contractors, trade procurement, and materials.
  • Maintain financial management of project (budget, forecast, cashflow, and cost control).

Project Process & Execution:

  • Organize and lead project execution activities, such as leading project meetings, providing project reports for executives, customers and stakeholders, developing and updating project schedules and milestones, ensuring execution according to regulatory and quality standards, and project close-outs.
  • Resolve on-site issues with the team quickly and efficiently.
  • Oversee and participate in project administration, including change order management, RFI's, and PO's, maintaining up to date project files and correspondence.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of quantity take-offs and other key project data.
  • Work with team to secure permits and approvals from cities and consultants.
  • Review invoices and progress claims for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare trade submittal lists and expedite shop drawings and equipment.

Safety & Leadership:

  • Champion the safety program and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Lead with high standards for quality, safety, team respect, leadership and relationship building.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of experience in construction project management, with previous experience delivering multi-family, mixed-use developments, low and mid-rise developments.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
  • Strong familiarity with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and work closely with site crews, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to drive project outcomes.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving, process improvement, and decision-making under pressure.
  • Proficient in construction-related software and digital project management tools.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Construction Management or a related field is considered an asset.
