Our workload fluctuates throughout the year, and sometimes we are very busy. But we also make time for team activities, rooftop barbecues and other celebratory get-togethers.
THE ROLE
As a Digital Communications Manager at Works Design, you are passionate about building communication strategies that manage reputation, enhance engagement, mitigate risk and deliver on key objectives. You're a storyteller who can combine words and images within the digital ecosystem (e.g., social media, websites, emails, blogs, intranets) to capture people's attention and create excitement. You have a passion for social media and digital marketing and a keen interest in learning about sector trends and best practices. You are a strong writer, familiar with a wide range of communications technologies, and excited by the opportunity to build your skills and work closely with clients.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Developing digital communication strategies and content calendars that crossover multiple touchpoints (including social platforms) and align with overall marketing and communication objectives (this includes support in establishing baselines and key performance indicators)
- Writing both short- and long-form content (e.g., posts, blogs, email campaigns, newsletters, etc.) and collaborating with internal teams to ensure that the content and creative execution are aligned and complement each other in delivering on key objectives
- Monitor and respond to comments across platforms, escalating when required
- Curate engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram)
- Auditing digital platforms and identifying gaps and opportunities based on analytics and industry best practices
- Review analytics regularly to ensure key objectives are being met and provide recommendations on opportunities
- Perform functional and content audits of online communications as required
- Contribute to the successful integration and onboarding of new team members
- Help evolve processes and tools to ensure that work is being done efficiently and in a way that maximizes value
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Degree or diploma in advertising, English, marketing, communications or another relevant field
- Minimum 3 years experience with social media marketing, digital content development or digital strategy development
- Familiarity with social listening and a working knowledge of Facebook (Business Suite), LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube and Vimeo
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, HootSuite, Sprinklr)
- Experience with analyzing and drawing conclusions from analytics using both social media platforms' native insights and other data insight tools (e.g., Google Analytics)

- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills and a can-do attitude
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn about corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation and investor relations
- Continued interest in developing leading-edge digital and social practices
- Experience in a corporate communications or advertising agency (bonus)
- Experience with managing paid social media ads (bonus)
- Experience with SEO, SEM and optimization tactics (bonus)
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS
Our workload fluctuates throughout the year, and sometimes we are very busy. Some overtime and late nights are to be expected. Our current working environment is considered “flexible,” which means you may work from home or the office, depending on your preference. This role may require a few days a week in the office for training purposes.

TOTAL COMPENSATION
- Base salary: $70,000–90,000
