Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Mainframe Developer – SAS who will analyze highly complex business requirements. This candidate will generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications. The successful candidate will act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution.
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for the supported area.

• Provide detailed technical designs and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Convert specifications about business requirements into programming instructions.
• Conduct impact analysis and analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
• Develop, review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system.
• Provide support for existing production applications and recommend opportunities for enhancements.

Desired Skill Set:

• 5 plus years of mainframe Skills, including ISPF/ JCL on mainframe OS390 Operating system.
• Strong COBOL language/ DB2 skills
• Strong SAS mainframe coding
• Experience with SYNCSORT
• CA7 Scheduling skills
• Working knowledge of Endevour/ TFS/Github
