A strong technical accounting base is a must for this hands-on role as you play a critical part in the company's ongoing success. Although full cycle accounting for the group of companies is your responsibility, that is not what you are being hired for and it should ultimately be a smaller part of your focus as you use technology to streamline and automate processes.

This dynamic opportunity blends the need to work closely with senior management, operations, external advisors and business partners, with the ability to provide strategic decision support to help drive the future direction and continued growth of this successful company. Building and understanding the financial models, presenting the results at ‘the table' and making recommendations are a critical part of this role.

• A Canadian CPA designation is a must.
• 7+ years of progressive post-designation experience including 3+ years in a senior level role in a dynamic growing company. International experience or exposure is a definite asset.
• Experience within a project accounting environment is a have-to-have.
• Experience in an engineering consulting company is a strong differentiator.
• Exposure to the mining industry is a big plus.
• 2+ years of job costing experience.
• Outstanding and effective written & verbal communications as well as presentation skills.
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge. ASPE & US GAAP preferred.
• Advanced level Microsoft Excel user with strong financial modelling skills.
• Experience with selecting and implementing an ERP system.
• A people person who is able to work collaboratively and respectfully at all levels with both internal and external customers within a global company across many time zones.
