Overview

Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Leasing Agent is responsible for the professional marketing and leasing of a Centurion owned and managed apartment communities in Victoria and Langford, BC.

The Leasing Agent is accountable for showing available units, qualifying prospective Residents, and successfully negotiating leases to achieve optimal occupancy and value for Centurion Asset Management Inc. | Centurion Property Associates Inc.

Responsibilities

Relationship Development

Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure proactive timely resolution of all prospective and current resident inquiries.

Customer Service

Handle all resident and prospect feedback, inquiries, and concerns courteously and in line with Centurions Vision, Mission and Values. Promote a welcoming community environment and support high levels of resident satisfaction.

Ongoing Operations

Operate properties consistent with the expectations of Centurions Corporate standards and approved annual budgets. Be responsible for ensuring all Centurion Property Associates policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Respond to prospective Resident questions, concerns, or complaints in a timely and compassionate manner. Direct all current Resident questions, concerns, or complaints to the Resident Manager or Senior Property Manager in a timely and compassionate manner. Market, show and rent apartments, professionally responding to telephone and walk-in inquiries. Organize, market and host open houses. Collect prospective Resident information using provided Guest Cards. Provide prospective Residents with related information and forms, helping to complete applications and collect rental deposits. Perform Landlord and employment reference checks, and obtain all documents necessary to complete the Tenancy Agreement, including the post-lease checklist and Pre-Authorized Payment information. Personally notify all applicants of the Landlords decision regarding their application to rent. Inspect vacant suites to ensure rent readiness and complete move- in/move-out inspections when applicable. Inform the Senior Property Manager of any deficiencies or problems noted in the buildings or properties that require attention.

Administration and Reporting

Maintain and update a weekly traffic report. Conduct regular market surveys to stay informed about competing properties and current market conditions. Maintain an orderly office area and complete general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents. Complete additional tasks assigned by the Senior Property Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in leasing, customer service, or sales is preferred;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and delivering excellent customer service;
  • Confident conducting property tours, answering inquiries, and negotiating lease agreements;
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and stay organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, using sound judgment and common sense;
  • Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday), 10:00 AM to 6:00PM;
  • Must be willing to commute between a portfolio of buildings located in Victoria, BC on Saturdays and within a portfolio of buildings in Langford, BC on Sundays;
  • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle is required;
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel);
  • Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi) is an asset.

Salary: $22-$25/hour
