Our Client in the manufacturing environment is seeking a bookkeeper to add to their staff. This is full-time temporary to permanent job.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will handle a high volume of invoicing and collections, oversee full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, perform monthly bank reconciliations, assist with HST filings, and support the month-end close process.

This critical role supports the company's financial accuracy, cash flow management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue and manage approximately 5,000 customer invoices per year
  • Track and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
  • Process vendor bills and coordinate payment schedules following internal processes.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for monthly HST/GST filings.
  • Assist in preparing month-end financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Liaise with customers and vendors regarding billing or payment issues in a professional manner.
  • Assist with external CPA or audit requests as needed.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to financial processes and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, preferably in a high-volume, service-based environment.
  • Experience managing high-volume AR/AP.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax rules, particularly HST/GST.
  • Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks and Sage).
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, reconciliations, reports).
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP, accrual accounting, reconciliations).
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Monday to Friday

8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Pay rate starting at $24 an hour, based on experience.
