About The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Executive Chef the Restaurant Manager will be responsible for the continued smooth day-to-day operation of our new quick service restaurant the Chicken Shop Kitchen.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction while providing efficient quick service.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for all products and service.
  • Recruit, interview, train, and motivate restaurant staff.
  • Manage inventory levels of food and dining products and plan accurately forecast sales trends.
  • Schedule shifts, train and oversee restaurant employees to enhance productivity levels and compliance.
  • Delegate activities to employees to ensure efficient service of food and beverages.
  • Train the crew on safety guidelines, customer service best practices, and cleaning requirements
  • Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all assigned work activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.
  • Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates to ensure their continuous development and overall contribution to the achievement of Maple Lodge Farms business strategy.
  • Address customer concerns promptly, efficiently, in a friendly manner.
  • Keep track of inventory and place orders with suppliers accordingly.
  • Develop and adhere to budgets to maximize restaurant profits.
  • Develop or contribute to marketing plans to promote the establishment.
  • Work on annual budgets, progress reports, and operational plans
  • Cover shifts as needed and assist in kitchen operations to meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to HACCP and ASI standards, conduct monthly kitchen inspections.
  • Assist in the Health & Safety program by ensuring that section 27 of the OHSA is being followed; conduct employee training and accident investigations; coordinate Health & Safety training within the department.
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the work area, report equipment malfunctions.
  • Complies with all Company policies, including but not limited to those regarding schedules, uniforms, absenteeism, and tardiness.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing in a quick service restaurant.
  • Completion of a college culinary course, or equivalent.
  • Current Food Safety Certificate a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.
  • The ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
  • General computer skills (e.g., MS Office)
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure kitchen environment.
