One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with finding an Engineering Analyst for a 1-year contract to work in Chatham or North York on a hybrid schedule.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will support the continued development of an industry-leading Integrity Management Program, ensuring the safety and reliability of critical natural gas assets. This role sits within a team focused on assessing risk for facilities that regulate, measure, and distribute gas. The analyst will apply quantitative methods, reliability engineering, and statistical modeling to evaluate asset failure probabilities and consequences, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data collection, quality assessments, and trend analysis for asset integrity.
- Develop and validate statistical/reliability models to assess failure risks.
- Perform quantitative analysis on asset performance and potential failure scenarios.
- Support risk-based decision-making through data interpretation and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
- Experience in data analytics, data quality review, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in Python, ReliaSoft, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
- Knowledge of machine learning/AI applications.
- Experience with reliability/risk modeling.
- Familiarity with Maximo/SAP or similar asset management systems.
