Overall Responsibilities
The Media Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of paid media across both digital and traditional channels. This includes media campaigns across social media, Online Video, Connected TV, Display and Linear Television.
Reporting to the Director, Global Digital Marketing & Media, the Media Manager will manage a Media Buyer and Media Coordinator and will oversee the end-to-end media process — from data-led planning through implementation, optimization, and post-campaign performance analysis. The role will ensure strong execution, cross-channel alignment, and continuous improvement in paid media effectiveness.
This position works closely with Brand, DTC, Creative, and Insights teams, as well as our external media agency and platform partners, to deliver fully integrated, insight-driven campaigns that align with business priorities. The Media Manager also plays a key role in driving media excellence across Jamieson Wellness — helping to establish best practices, share performance learnings, and strengthen media fluency across the broader marketing organization.
Strategic Leadership & Media Partnership (30%)
- Lead the development and execution of paid media strategy across all channels — including social, video, programmatic, SEM, and television — aligned to brand goals and business outcomes.
- Act as a key media business partner to Brand, DTC, and Creative teams — translating marketing strategies into integrated, channel-appropriate media plans.
- Manage external agency collaboration, driving consistency, innovation, and high-performance standards.
- Identify emerging media trends and evaluate new opportunities with platform partners and media vendors to fuel ongoing innovation.
- Support internal and external presentations by contributing media insights, performance data, and strategic rationale as needed.
Campaign Execution & Optimization (30%)
- Oversee end-to-end campaign implementation, including audience targeting, tactical setup, and pacing oversight in partnership with the internal Media Buyer and Coordinator.
- Support the planning and negotiation of TV/CTV buys, including schedule building, integration opportunities, and post-campaign analysis.
- Project reach, frequency, and other key KPIs for each campaign, ensuring plans are rooted in both brand and performance objectives.
- Collaborate on real-time optimization, ensuring campaigns meet benchmarks related to efficiency, viewability, and ROI.
- Maintain campaign hygiene by ensuring brand safety, fraud prevention, and platform compliance.

Measurement & Financial Accountability (20%)
- Develop and contribute to learning agendas, campaign wrap-ups, and quarterly media reviews — providing performance analysis and optimization recommendations.
- Monitor and reconcile media budgets in partnership with Brand and Finance teams.
- Align media spending with the Budget Control Report (BCR) to ensure accurate tracking of expenses and alignment with marketing plans.
- Maintain ownership of key media planning tools including blocking charts, budget trackers, and calendar timelines.
- Partner with the Insights team on campaign evaluation and analytics projects (e.g., Marketing Mix Modeling), helping to shape future investment decisions.
Team Leadership & Marketing Capability Building (20%)
- Directly manage and coach the Media Buyer and Coordinator — providing support, feedback, and prioritization guidance.
- Help build media fluency across the broader marketing team by sharing key learnings, trends, and performance insights.
- Actively participate in cross-functional planning processes, contributing to campaign briefs, strategic planning sessions, and go-to-market excellence.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements
- University Degree in Business
- 5 plus (5+) years media strategy, planning and buying experience
- Hands-on experience managing media campaigns across social, search, online video, and television channels
- Superior analytical skills
- Ability to utilize key research tools and software: NLogic Infoysys, NLogic CMR, ComScore Media Metrix, Clear Decisions (for Vividata) and digital reporting platforms
- Strong knowledge and understanding of consumer media habits and consumption
- Proficiency in Google Ads campaign set up and management (Google certification is an asset)
- Ability to navigate Meta Ads Manager
- A team player who can inspire, navigate and lead a cross-functional team
- Strong track record of managing, coaching and developing direct reports
- Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills
- An entrepreneurial and creative spirit with the ability to deliver solutions if process is absent
- A strong sense of urgency and achievement
- Experience with Google Analytics platform is an asset
- Experience in health and wellness and CPG industries an asset
