Job Description

Zentek Ltd. (“Zentek”) is a Canadian materials sciences and IP development company focused on harnessing graphene and other nanomaterials to make existing products better. Zentek has launched ZenGUARDTM Enhanced Air Filters in Canada, and they are seeking an entrepreneurial sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment to act as its National Sales Leader.

Zentek is poised to transform the indoor air quality (IAQ) market with its ZenGUARD™ Enhanced Air Filters, which incorporate a patented technology and were developed in collaboration with the Government of Canada. These innovative filters provide enhanced viral filtration efficiency like denser MERV 13 filters while significantly reducing energy consumption, maintenance costs, emissions, and waste.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, the National Sales Leader will leverage this unique value proposition and competitive advantage to spearhead continued growth across Canada and unlock broader commercial opportunities in sectors such as education, government, municipalities, healthcare, and commercial real estate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional to lead the market introduction of a differentiated, best-in-class product, offering clients a compelling value proposition of cost savings, operational efficiency, and sustainability: a combination unique to Zentek's product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving national sales growth of ZenGUARD™ Enhanced Air Filters across Canada.
  • Developing and executing a strategic sales plan targeting schools, universities, government entities, municipalities, healthcare facilities, and commercial real estate.
  • Building relationships with procurement leaders, facility managers, and sustainability teams, leveraging your data-driven value proposition.
  • Managing key partnerships with manufacturers and distributors to expand market reach.
  • Engaging in direct prospecting, relationship-building, and bid work where applicable.
  • Representing Zentek at industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment on production, supply chain, quality and client delivery.
  • Supporting government procurement pathways and vendor registration processes to facilitate direct sales to federal and provincial governments.

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in HVAC filtration, indoor air quality, or related mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian building infrastructure landscape, particularly in education, government, healthcare, and commercial sectors.
  • Sales leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of indoor air quality standards and sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Experience navigating government procurement processes and vendor approvals.
  • Established network of property managers, facility operators, and procurement contacts.
  • Experience with sustainability-driven solutions and value-based selling.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling client benefits.
  • Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and account management skills.
  • Experience leveraging CRM systems, sales enablement tools, and AI-driven insights to drive a data-informed sales strategy.
  • A hands-on, adaptable approach aligned with a growing entrepreneurial company.
  • Familiarity with medical device classification in Canada.

Working conditions:

  • Flexible work hours
  • Hybrid working; partial work from home
  • Role may require the candidate to be on site in Guelph, Ontario as needed for production/site specific quality control activities
  • Travel required
