Job Title: Customer Service Rep
Location: Oakville, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week
- Start Time: 8:00 AM
- End Time: 4:30 PM
- Lunch Break: 30 minutes
- Note: Alternative start/end times may be accommodated between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary:
- Hourly Rate: $24.00/hour
Customer Service Supervisor
Responsibilities:- Report to work as assigned, on time, and in a safe and efficient manner.
- Interact professionally with internal personnel, customers, vendors, and associates.
- Accurately process freight bills for TL, LTL, Courier, and Warehouse environments.
- Process freight bills as per customer shipping requirements.
- Deconsolidate freight bills accurately.
- Respond promptly to customer freight inquiries and issues.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and supervisors.
- Apply fuel surcharges and accessorial charges accurately.
- Validate customer freight bill orders for accuracy.
- Support company goals related to gross margin by helping increase revenue and reduce costs.
- Monitor and record shipment details.
- Adhere to company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Follow standard operating procedures for consignees, customers, shippers, and associates.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and positive attitude with all personnel.
- Provide support to the accounting department as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary education.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the transportation industry.
- Freight rating experience is considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with transportation management systems (Truckmate/TMW TMS) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines (e.g., customer requests, month-end tasks).
