JOB DESCRIPTION

Palais Royale Ballroom, one of Toronto's premier event venues, is looking for talented cooks to join our growing team. We are seeking individuals whose passion for cooking is as unwavering as our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food. If you are ready to contribute to an energetic and dynamic team in a premier venue, we want to hear from you!

Experience in a banquet venue is preferred but not required. The hourly rate is commensurate with skill level.

Essential Duties:

· Prepare high-quality food items according to instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.

· Ensure meals are served or prepared for delivery with correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, and served at the correct temperature. Maintain visual appeal and flavor excellence.

· Clean the kitchen after preparation and serving, adhering to high standards of cleanliness. Store food according to safe food-handling procedures.

· Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean, neat, and organized. Ensure food and supply items are stored according to standards.

· Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

· Foster strong, collaborative relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.

· Perform duties safely, ensuring a positive and productive working environment.
