We are looking for a Senior D365 F&O Functional Analyst for a 7-month contract position, with the possibility of extension in the Greater Edmonton, Alberta area. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Hybrid schedule, at least 3 days in the office. Approximately 30 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.

Role Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Analyst to support our client's Finance team and contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of their Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) environment. This role requires a senior-level consultant with a proven track record of delivering functional support and enhancements in a complex municipal or enterprise financial system setting.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Financial Dimension changes (Common Case changes)
• Updating and maintaining Management Reporter reports
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations – Microsoft Bi-annual Upgrades
• Support for custom Gravel application
• Support for Accounts Payable Dooap software duplicate voucher errors
• Annual budgets Reporting maintenance
• Financial statements series Reporting maintenance and updating
• Financial transactions error fixing and support
• On going accounting changing and maintenance include account, account structures, department, cost centre, programs, and projects
• New financial reporting design and developing
• Financial Statement/Reports reconciling
• PC signing limit maintenance for procurement
• Each work stream process improvement and enhancement (Finance, Project, Procurement)
• Onboarding/offboarding
• User modification/management (roles, delegation, etc)
• Business documentation
• Process mapping
• Technical documentation
• Review of issues/request log and plans to address
• Upgrade process review
• Operational support

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Analyst or similar role
• Strong understanding of financial operations, account structures, and reporting tools
• Proven experience supporting upgrades and custom applications within the D365 ecosystem
• Experience with municipal or public sector financial systems considered an asset
• Proficiency in process mapping, documentation, and user role configuration
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hybrid environment
• Must have an active Alberta Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) account and coverage
