We're partnering with a fun consumer product brand based in Montreal on the search for a Vice President of Marketing. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for someone with a strong track record of driving growth through digital marketing, leading teams through change, and building omni-channel strategies that deliver measurable commercial results.
The successful candidate will lead an integrated marketing team across digital, brand, product, CX, and creative. With a growing investment in digital, this is an ideal time to step in and help shape the future of a brand already beloved by consumers.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a unified, omni-channel marketing strategy across all pillars of the brand.
- Digital & Performance Marketing: Build and scale the brand's digital capabilities in collaboration with a Digital Director. Oversee paid media, SEO, influencer, and social — and use performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Influencer & Social Strategy: Strengthen and grow an ROI-focused influencer program. Leverage brand storytelling to connect with new and existing audiences.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a cross-functional team. Guide the team and establish clear goals and processes.
- Product Launches: Oversee go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to pivot based on real-time data and insights.
- Consumer Insights: Own the voice of the customer — incorporating CX and feedback data into broader marketing and product strategies.
- Leadership Collaboration: Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. Collaborate across departments to drive overall business growth.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in marketing, with 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Proven experience scaling consumer brands across multiple channels — particularly physical products sold via mass retail, Amazon, specialty, and some DTC.
- Expertise in digital and influencer marketing, with a focus on performance and ROI.
- Strong commercial acumen — you understand how marketing impacts revenue and how to prioritize accordingly.
- Experience leading teams through growth and restructuring, with a proven ability to build high-performing teams.
- Comfortable operating in mid-sized, agile organizations as well as larger, more structured ones.
- A builder's mindset — you're resourceful, curious, and fluent in emerging technologies including AI.
