Position: Project Manager

Location: Greater Toronto Area, Ontario (Remote/Hybrid)

• Kinsol is headquartered on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. As such, this position will be considered a remote/hybrid role, with the candidate being our first full-time Eastern Canada representative.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee mass timber projects in the Greater Toronto Area. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget while serving as a key client-facing representative for Kinsol in a new market. This role requires strong project management skills, experience in business development, sales, or estimating, and the ability to foster client relationships to drive regional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of mass timber projects, from planning to close-out, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing regular updates and maintaining clear communication to ensure transparency.
• Utilize business development, sales, or estimating experience to build client relationships and identify new opportunities in Eastern Canada.
• Coordinate resources, including labor, materials, and subcontractors, while monitoring costs and cash flow.
• Handle scope changes and negotiate change orders to maintain project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Conduct project post-mortems to document lessons learned and improve processes.
• Stay informed about industry trends and mass timber construction practices.·

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in construction, preferably with mass timber or commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or estimating within the construction industry.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Procore.
• Knowledge of mass timber materials, construction processes, and relevant codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder and client management.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
