Behaviour Avenues is an Ontario Autism Program (OAP) approved service provider offering evidence- based behaviour therapy and consultations to children and youth with autism and other intellectual disabilities using Applied Behaviour Analysis principles in the London and surrounding areas. We offer center-based, home-based, and community-based services. Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will work directly with children, youth, and families, conducting assessments, designing and overseeing individualized behaviour intervention plans, and supporting staff and families in implementing these interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBA) and develop behaviour intervention plans
- Design and supervise ABA-based treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients
- Provide ongoing training and supervision to behaviour therapists and other support staff
- Collaborate with families, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care
- Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and professional standards as per the standards of practice for Registered Behaviour Analysts in Ontario
- Maintain detailed documentation and prepare assessment reports and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
- Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO)
- Member of Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysts (ONTABA)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a senior therapist or Behaviour Analyst working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Full G class driving license
-Access to a car with 2 million dollars liability insurance
- Valid training in Non-Violence Crisis Intervention
- Ability to work with high needs children who exhibit aggressive behaviours
- Ability to collaborate with a team and to demonstrate flexibility and professional dialogue
Skills Required:
- Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of challenging behaviours using a variety of evidence-based assessment protocols and curriculums such as VBMAPP, ABLL-R, EFL, PEAK, Socially Savvy, AFLS, SBT/PFA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and other professionals
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting
Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in an ABA clinical setting, with a proven track record of successfully implementing behaviour interventions, consulting with families, and developing safety plans
- Experience providing supervision and mentorship to junior staff is an asset
