Job Description

Summary

Greenlane Renewables Inc., headquartered in metro Vancouver, Canada, is a pioneer in the rapidly growing renewable natural gas (“RNG”) industry. As a leading global provider of biogas upgrading systems, we are helping to clean up two of the largest and most difficult-to-decarbonize sectors of the global energy system: the natural gas grid and the commercial transportation sector. Our systems produce clean, low-carbon and carbon-negative renewable natural gas (RNG) from organic waste sources including landfills, wastewater treatment plants, dairy farms, and food waste. Greenlane is the only biogas upgrading company offering the three main technologies: waterwash, pressure swing adsorption, and membrane separation and has over 30 years industry experience, patented proprietary technology, over 100 hydrogen sulfide treatment systems sold, and over 140 biogas upgrading systems sold into 19 countries, including many of the largest RNG production facilities in the world. Greenlane is a publicly-traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: GRN).

This position will focus on the facility setup and process planning for assembly and testing of large Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in manufacturing processes, experience in assembly techniques, and the ability to troubleshoot and improve testing protocols. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, safe, and quality-driven operation of our RNG production system.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Facility set up

  • Define equipment requirements and select appropriate manufacturing methods.
  • Calculate space needs for equipment, production, storage, and testing.
  • Design efficient facility layouts to optimize workflow and ensure safety.
  • Prepare cost estimates for facility setup, machinery, and tooling.

Production processes development

  • Develop and optimize assembly processes, workflows, and quality control checkpoints.
  • Identify necessary production tools, test equipment, and fixtures.
  • Create assembly procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Develop and execute testing protocols to ensure equipment performance and safety.

Operations maintenance and supervision

  • Train and support assembly teams on best practices, safety, and quality control.
  • Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance in assembly and testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes, test results, and quality measures.
  • Update technical documents and manuals as processes evolve.

Continuous improvement initiatives

  • Analyze and document test results in compliance with industry standards.
  • Report on production progress and recommend process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot issues using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on manufacturability and testability feedback.

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on assembly and testing of large-scale equipment (experience with renewable energy systems isa plus).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering design tools.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality assurance practices in manufacturing.

We are committed to transparency in our hiring process. We will be offering a base salary of $90,000 - $110,000 based on a candidate's qualifications and experience.
