Compensation: $181,000-$200,000

Your Role
We're looking for a technically capable, execution focused, and forward-thinking individual to step into our CTO role and guide the evolution of our technology ecosystem. This leader will provide critical insights and hands-on support to improve efficiency through automation and augmentation, guide key platform migrations, and ensure our tech stack is aligned with current and future business needs, leveraging a strong working knowledge of AI. While this position is ideal for someone early in their leadership journey, the role comes with significant ownership and visibility.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the technology strategy of our organization while gaining valuable leadership experience.
What You'll be Doing
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Act as the primary technology leader across the organization
- Develop and implement the organization's technology roadmap in alignment with strategic goals
- Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on technology decisions and investments, particularly in terms of how we can best leverage AI for our future direction
- Explore and recommend scalable ways to integrate technology into client work
- Act as a consultant for client proposals to determine technical feasibility and innovation potential
Automation & Augmentation
- Oversee the organization's automation strategy, including providing consultation on artificial intelligence (AI) tools to increase organizational optimization
- Identify, assess, and prioritize automation opportunities across workflows
- Implement AI-enabled solutions, including RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), agents, and augmentation tactics to reduce time on low-value work
- Serve as a champion for embedding automation in both internal operations and client deliverables
Project Management & System Migration
- Oversee the migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365
- Lead the transition from our current Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool to a new platform, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality
Infrastructure & Operations
- Maintain oversight of all IT infrastructure and systems to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
- Provide oversight into technology-enabled service models
- Implement best practices for data management, user access, and cybersecurity
- Serve as the escalation point for IT-related issues, providing hands-on troubleshooting when necessary
- Guide tech/digital resourcing decisions, capacity management, and use of contractors.
- Audit current tools and systems to identify gaps, overlaps, and areas for improvement, including how best to leverage AI
- Establish and monitor technology efficiency goals and metrics
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with our CEO & COO to determine most effective strategy for the organization
- Work with our IT Managed Service Provider, cross-functional teams and manage external technology partners
- Work with our Operations team to optimize software license renewals and organization
Your Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in IT, systems administration, or technology project management
- 3-5 years of experience in a Chief Technology Officer role or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with technical systems and applications
- Microsoft 365, CoPilot Studio an asset
- PSA platforms (e.g., ClickUp, Monday.com, Teamwork, etc.)
- Artificial Intelligence
- Demonstrated experience leading system migrations or similar technical projects
- Strong ability to understand current systems within an organization, conduct needs analyses to determine gaps and recommend suitable solutions
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus but not required
- Understanding of IT operations, cybersecurity best practices, and infrastructure planning
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
