Job Description

CEDA is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton, AB. Reporting to the Director of HR, this role provides a great opportunity to be a key support across all areas of HR in a well-established, award-winning company recognized as a Best Managed Platinum Club member.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Book business & crew travel for eligible employees from CEDA's various service lines, while ensuring compliance with Travel Policy
    • This can look like supporting a mobilization of 250 employees coming from and going to a variety of different operational locations
    • This can also include a degree of logistical support to ensure personnel are accounted for on a variety of flights, bus, and accommodations
    • This type of work also requires back-end administration to ensure costs are allocated appropriately within the business
  • Provide administrative support and coverage to all HR functions
    • Support HR Business partners with employee relations letters (transfer, promotion, termination, etc.)
    • Collaborate with HR team members and leaders to ensure the timing and flow of data is ongoing and aligned with internal processes, such as payroll
    • Maintain employee files and ensure all documents related to the employee life cycle are recorded accurately
    • Human Resource Information System (HRIS) data entry
    • Manage and validate change requests through system-generated workflows to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Dayforce, while collecting the necessary documentation
    • Respond to queries from employees and other departments
  • Administer CEDA's Alcohol & Drug (A&D) program across the business ensuring compliance with the A&D policy
    • Submit and monitor pre-access and post incident tests
    • Work with the operations team to administer the random testing program for specific client requirements
    • Understand the A&D testing requirements for each of CEDA's customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications:

  • Experience: We can teach the HR piece of this job. We need the attitude and aptitude to do the high volume and ever-changing work. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a proven administrator in this type of capacity is ideal.
  • Education: A business degree is nice but demonstrated capacity for high volume and variety of work is the core education required for this role
  • Excel proficiency: the ability to perform analysis using pivot tables and v-lookup is an asset
