POSTED DATE: April 2, 2025 POSTING #158-25 (CUPE Service) HURON PERTH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE NOTICE OF VACANCYPOSITION: REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE – OPERATING ROOM Stratford and Clinton sites Regular Part-Time (Shifts: 8-hour shifts, days, evenings, weekends, on-call, 7 days/week may be subject to change)REPORTS TO: Manager, Surgical Services DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possibleSALARY: $35.99 to $38.16 per hourQUALIFICATIONS:- Current Registration and Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse- Operating Room Nurse Certificate from a recognized program- Asepsis Course, CPR- Appropriate added nursing skills, i.e., medication, d/c IV, catheterization- Knowledge of surgical equipment/instruments/ procedures- Two years recent operating room (perioperative) experience preferredABILITIES:- Ability to return to work within 20 minutes when on standby /on-call- Ability to plan and organize effectively- Ability to respond appropriately in an emergency- Ability to work as a team member- Ability to work independently- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing continuing educationAPPLICANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE POSITION IS FILLED *Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications for the position may be considered for a training opportunity**Applicants may be eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness and Tuition Support Program for Nurses programs**Please be advised that we are no longer accepting emailed or paper-based resumes.
