Context:
To strengthen the IKOS team in Canada we are looking for Railway System Engineer to work on large-scale railway projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop system, subsystem, and interface requirements by analyzing customer and train control domain needs.
- Apply systems engineering principles to support system architectures, update processes, and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Assess the impact of design changes on system requirements and interfaces, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve system integration challenges and support field testing activities.
- Define and update processes and standards based on systems engineering principles.
- Ensure safety is built into designs by identifying and resolving safety defects early.
- Utilize tools like DOORS to track, verify, and validate system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, document, and manage system interfaces across subsystems, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Systems, Electrical, Industrial, etc.), Computer Science, or a related technical engineering field.
- Experience in requirements management and system development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and the system development life cycle.
- Experience with tools like DOORS and other similar software.
- Knowledge of railway systems engineering principles.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
