Context:

To continue IKOS's growth in Canada, we are recruiting RAMS Engineers keen to move his first steps in railway signaling systems and keen to take part in our missions throughout their country. The RAMS engineer will be part of the RAMS engineering team and will be responsible for application of RAM and/or Safety process within internal projects according customer requirements, contractual documents, applicable Rules and Regulations, company instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety analyses to ensure railway systems meet performance and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare project RAMS deliverables according to the program.
  • Set up the Safety assurance process and ensure it is followed along project lifecycle by all the involved actors.
  • Define, distribute and verify safety requirements for the product and its elements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential system safety risks, ensuring compliance with railway safety standards.
  • Set up, follow up and document project RAMS design and demonstration plan.
  • Support RAMS testing, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, accident investigations, and continuous improvement of RAMS methodologies.
  • Contribute to the improvement of RAMS methodologies, processes, and industry best practices.

We'd love you to apply if:

  • You hold a Bachelor and/or master's degree in science or any technical Engineering field.
  • Experience in system safety, RAMS engineering, risk assessment, and safety analysis in railway.
  • You know about Safety Critical and Safety Related activities in the Rail Transit System environment.
  • Preferred Knowledge understanding of CENELEC safety standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).
  • Proficiency in RAMS tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and safety.
  • You hold good verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are a team player and ready to learn.
  • You have good communications skills.
