Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator (Level II)
Location: Whitby, ON (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site)

We're looking for a Senior Linux Administrator to help scale and secure our Linux-based systems while supporting key infrastructure initiatives. If you're passionate about automation, containerization, and mentoring junior admins, this is the role for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Install, configure, and manage Linux environments (Ubuntu, Red Hat)
- Maintain and optimize virtualized environments using KVM and Apache CloudStack
- Monitor system performance, ensure uptime, and troubleshoot incidents
- Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Implement and manage configuration using Ansible or Puppet
- Administer containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Apply security patches, manage user permissions, and enforce best security practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Lead and mentor junior administrators on the team
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience (Ubuntu and Red Hat)
- Hands-on experience with KVM, VMWare, and/or Apache CloudStack
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and Linux security best practices
- Experience with backup tools (Veeam, Acronis)
- Previous mentorship or team leadership experience
- Certifications like RHCE or LFCE are a plus
