Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator (Level II)

Location: Whitby, ON (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site)

We're looking for a Senior Linux Administrator to help scale and secure our Linux-based systems while supporting key infrastructure initiatives. If you're passionate about automation, containerization, and mentoring junior admins, this is the role for you.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Install, configure, and manage Linux environments (Ubuntu, Red Hat)
• Maintain and optimize virtualized environments using KVM and Apache CloudStack
• Monitor system performance, ensure uptime, and troubleshoot incidents
• Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Implement and manage configuration using Ansible or Puppet
• Administer containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Apply security patches, manage user permissions, and enforce best security practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
• Lead and mentor junior administrators on the team

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience (Ubuntu and Red Hat)
• Hands-on experience with KVM, VMWare, and/or Apache CloudStack
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and Linux security best practices
• Experience with backup tools (Veeam, Acronis)
• Previous mentorship or team leadership experience
• Certifications like RHCE or LFCE are a plus
