Your New Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer – Data & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and performance of data engineering and analytics solutions. You will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, automating testing processes, and integrating quality assurance into CI/CD pipelines. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help drive excellence across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Develop automated testing frameworks and integrate them into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing for data and analytics solutions.
  • Perform detailed defect analysis and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
  • Lead performance testing efforts and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Champion QA best practices and support agile methodologies through quality metrics and feedback loops.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • QA or Testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Azure certifications) are a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in automated test frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cucumber.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure data platforms.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

Professional Experience:

  • 5+ years in software quality assurance, test automation, and testing methodologies.
  • Proven experience in performance and functional testing for cloud-based solutions.
  • Background in Agile DevOps environments, ideally within non-profit or public sector organizations.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for documentation, reporting, and team collaboration.
