Position overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to support the maintenance and development of electronic modules for automated test equipment. This role requires a hands-on, problem-solving mindset to ensure the reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance of electronic systems. The Electronics Engineer will report directly to the Director of Engineering.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance:

• Support and maintain existing electronic modules.

• Implement upgrades and design improvements.

• Evaluate and source alternatives for obsolete components.

Development:

• Design new electronic modules based on specifications.

• Generate PCB layouts, schematics, Bills of Materials (BOM), and Gerber files.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in designing analog and mixed-signal multi-layer PCBs.

Preferred Technical Expertise:

• Design measurement circuits for various voltages, currents, and leakages.

• Design programmable voltage and current sources.

• Develop embedded firmware (preferably using Microchip platforms).

• Work with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and USB.

• Understanding of product certification processes (CE, CSA, UL, RoHS).

Software Proficiency:

• Experience with PADS software for PCB design and schematic capture.
