Finance Manager
Our client is a global online brokerage / fintech with offices based in North Toronto. We're seeking an experienced Finance professional with direct experience inside a Brokerage or a Financial Institution.
Location: Toronto, ON (In-office 5x / week)
The Finance Manager will join the local leadership team and lead accounting, regulatory reporting, financial planning, and risk management functions. This individual will be instrumental in supporting new product initiatives, building internal controls, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, audit experience, and a strategic mindset to thrive in a high-growth environment.
Key responsibilities

• lead core accounting and finance operations, including reporting and regulatory submissions
• develop budgets, forecasts, and financial performance monitoring
• liaise with auditors, regulators, tax agents, and financial institutions
• manage cash flow, treasury, and bank relationships
• support strategic initiatives and new product launches with financial guidance
• establish financial policies, procedures, and risk controls
• build and lead a high-performing finance team

Requirements

• 5+ years of financial experience, preferably in brokerage or financial services
• CPA designation strongly preferred
• expertise in IFRS, audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills
• ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• experience in high-growth or startup settings is an asset
• bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
