OVERVIEW

Reporting to Manager, IT Quality Assurance, the 6-month Contract position of SAP QA Tester is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining test plans and scripts that ensure software meets system specifications. They conduct various testing methodologies, including system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing, to identify and resolve defects and performance issues. This role also involves analyzing technical documentation to understand the functionality of new applications, ensuring they meet required standards before deployment. The Contract QA Tester produces detailed reports and documentation, tracking all testing efforts and communicating progress and results to stakeholders. Their work is vital in delivering high-quality software products that align with organizational standards and customer expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive test scripts, cases, and scenarios to ensure optimal system performance in alignment with specifications.
  • Test execution: Conduct a wide range of testing methodologies, including system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing, to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Defect Analysis & Resolution: Analyze test results to identify and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability problems, ensuring software meets quality standards.
    Work closely with development teams to reproduce, isolate, and resolve defects.
  • Documentation Analysis: Review and analyze documentation and technical specifications of new applications to understand intended functionality and identify potential areas of concern.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Produce detailed reports and documentation for all testing efforts, including results, activities, data logging, and tracking, to maintain accurate records and facilitate communication.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate test progress, results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
  • End-User Reviews: Develop, distribute, and coordinate thorough end-user reviews for both modified and new systems or applications, gathering feedback to enhance software quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • A bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a proven track record in conducting various types of testing, identifying defects, and ensuring software quality.
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies, as well as a solid understanding of software development processes.
  • SAP S/4 HANA experience is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in testing SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM) and Financial (FI) Modules, is required.
  • Highly skilled with SAP Data Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Familiar with JIRA Tool.

Knowledge/Competencies/Skills

  • 1+ years experience with SAP S/4 HANA is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to document issues, track corrective actions, and provide data-driven insights for improvement.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence quality-related decisions.
  • Advanced communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Keen attention to detail, tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new products.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, and adept in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Can effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working Hours

  • All CM employees work 40 hours per week, remotely from a home office environment.
  • Extra or flexible hours may be required on occasion.
