Our client, located in the Lashburn area, is a long-standing contributor to the community with a reputation of trust and respect. We are in search of a self-motivated dedicated Driver responsible for waste and recyclable products collection services in order to ensure that waste and recyclable products are transported and disposed of in an appropriate manner.

Competitive compensation package with a wage range $50 - $70K/year; based on experience, Bonus pay, Overtime pay

Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with overtime in busy season, usually busy season is May to October

Responsibilities:

§ Deal with residents and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner.

§ Responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste delivery, removal and scheduled tipping services to customers. The driver will collect solid waste or recyclables on our front load units, transporting to local landfill as well as occasionally assisting in the operation of our roll off and picker truck routes.

§ Pickup of waste at specified residential, commercial and transfer stations/job sites and dispose of at designated landfill

§ Secure roll off bin as per company procedure and inspect in transit as required.

§ Perform vehicles pre and post inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil, and other fluid levels. Replenishing fluid levels when necessary.

§ Complete the necessary paperwork for vehicle inspection and submit to the Supervisor on a daily basis

§ Other duties as assigned by your manager or management team.

Qualifications / Skills:

§ Valid Class 1 or 3 License with air brake endorsement

§ Ability to perform physical exertions such as repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling items that weight up to 30 pounds as part of their daily routine

§ 1-2 years of previous driving experience

§ Able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements

§ Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

§ Excellent decision-making skills

§ Ability to follow specified guidelines and safety procedures

§ Must maintain a professional appearance

§ Ability to perform physical requirements of the position

§ Safety and goal orientated
