Cenovus is looking for a E&I Frontline Supervisor in Lloydminster who will support the Project team.
The Frontline Supervisor would work on Pre-Mobilization Work and Pre-Bid documentation including participating in bid document assembly and contractor bid reviews. Participate in project execution planning (design reviews, model review, CWP development, etc)
Responsibilities:
• Post Award: - Lead team reviews and joint acceptance of Contractor project documentation (JSA, ERP, Execution Plans, ITP's, etc.)
• Execution: - Must communicate to the contractors any existing or potential site hazards that may affect the contractors' workers. Existing or potential hazards must also be included on Safe Work Agreements issued to the Contractor - Provide documented verification against contractor project documentation for compliance. Document and communicate variances / risks / mitigations. - Identification of higher risk work or changes in scope requiring risk assessments and ensuring it is executed. Cenovus Risk Matrix to be used as guide. - Participate in contractor completion activities (walkdown's, deficiency completion, demobilization)
• Post Execution: - Participate in contractor close outs and lesson's learned meeting.
• Have a strong working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, principals, and procedures. Experience in installing High voltage switch gear, control systems, VFD's & DCS in Greenfield & Brownfield Environment
• Review, participation, and implementation of Cenovus Safety Initiatives - Actively learn, participate and verify adherence to Cenovus Safety Management System - Wear required PPE - Actively participate in field hazard assessments - Identification and participation project risk assessments - Observe and Mentor team members.
• Actively learn, participate, and verify adherence to Cenovus Specifications - Participate in quality related activities (ITP reviews, turnover package verifications, quality audits and walkdowns)
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules - Understand contractor / vendor schedule, and its role up into project schedules - Participate in contractor progress verifications, communicate findings and risks - When required, work with Contractor and CMT members to develop and accept schedule recovery plans.
• Review and acceptance of contractor / vendor LEMs (verification of hours, people & equipment - not rates) - Review and acceptance of contractor / vendor reporting, verifying accuracy of actuals + forecast including identification of variances and contractor mitigations in daily reporting
• Ongoing Contractor and Construction Work Package risk identification and resolution recommendations - Review and recommend resolution for technical and contractual issues
• Accurately identify and communicate risk (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule) management - Coordinate work with required CVE stakeholders (Example: Operations, Maintenance, Completions, Regulatory, etc.) - Provide daily progress / risk / look ahead reporting - Daily communication with contractors and - • Cenovus peers - Develop and maintain effective working relationship with CCMT peers and functional team members
• Active participation in toolbox, coordination and communication meetings - Maintain daily journal / log, recording key conversations & information.
Qualifications/Certifications:
• Red seal Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation OR Diploma in electrical or instrumentation technology
• Experience as an E&I field coordinator or Supervisor in a Projects execution environment
• PMP or other formal project administration training would be considered an asset
• Strong fundamental understanding of Mechanical Project execution
Expense Description / Information Standard RateShift Mobilization / Demobilization CCMT Contractors reporting to any of the CVE sites will be eligible for mileage. This expense applies for travel from home to site at start of shift and site to home at end of shift. $0.60 per km, 500 KM maximum billable mileage per trip
Mileage This expense applies to any travel on site or between sites during the work shift. Maximum 500 km billable mileage per day. $1.00 per km FC, CL, Sunrise, Tucker $0.60 per km (Paved Roads) - Lloyd Thermal & Downstream Assets $0.90 per km (Off-road) - Lloyd Thermal & Downstream Assets Fuel Surcharge – Applied to Mileage & Shift Mob/Demob Rates This surcharge allowance is for increased fuel and vehicle operating costs. To be reviewed quarterly. $0.25 per km
LOA Living Out Allowance, for Hotel and Meals. It is recommended (when possible) to stay at CVE preferred hotels that provide reduced rates. $200 per day
Communications / Technology CVE will supply Computer and communication kit (Laptop, Printer, Inverter GPS, Camera, My-Fi)
ATV's Applies to Offsites CCMT Only. Chargeable only when requested or approved by Offsites Superintendent. $150 per day, only when used. * requires approval
PPE Cenovus to supply coveralls and winter jacket at Onboarding, and thereafter every 2 years upon approval by Superintendent.
Training Requirement (Pre-Onboarding) Standard First Aid w/ CPR, H2S Alive, Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE)
