Summary:
The Financial Analyst, FP&A is responsible for building models, analyzing data, and supporting budgeting and forecasting to help guide real estate investment and development decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain financial models for development projects, operations, and investment opportunities across various capital structures
- Prepare and update quarterly fund models; analyze results and present to senior finance leaders
- Track and explain budget-to-actual variances on key line items and KPIs
- Model financial impacts of assumption changes, incorporating macroeconomic factors relevant to real estate
- Support asset valuations by coordinating appraisals, analyzing key assumptions, and preparing fair market value models
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting for executives, partners, and investors
- Drive process improvements and enhance analytical tools
- Perform ad hoc analysis, scenario modelling, proforma and presale budgets
- Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen finance's role as a strategic partner
- Manage competing deadlines while delivering accurate, timely results
About You:
- 6 months - 3 years of experience with a minimum of 6 months of FP&A experience
- Background in a large or well-established organization
- CPA or CFA designation in progress (early stages)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Real estate or property industry experience is a very strong asset
- Familiarity with Power BI and/or Yardi is preferred
