Job Title: Project Manager – ICI Construction

Toronto, ON | Projects: $5M–$50M+ | Full-Time

About the Company

Our client is a well-established general contractor operating across the GTA, specializing in Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) construction. Their reputation is built on delivering high-quality projects with a focus on collaboration, safety, and efficiency.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager with a proven track record managing ICI construction projects valued between $5 million and $50 million+. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience leading full project lifecycles, from pre-construction through closeout, and will bring strong organizational and leadership capabilities. Experience in interior fit-outs or hospital renovations is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of construction projects from award to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
  • Collaborate with site superintendents, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to execute projects effectively.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and risk management strategies.
  • Lead internal and external project meetings and ensure clear communication among all stakeholders.
  • Review and interpret contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Oversee change order management, progress billings, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in ICI construction.
  • Proven success managing projects in the $5M–$50M+ range.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, construction contracts, and procurement practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g. Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • PMP certification or post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience with healthcare or institutional projects is ideal.
