Job Title: Information Risk Governance and Control Analyst
Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid)
Position Overview:
The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) Governance and Control team is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Information Risk Governance and Control Analyst. This role supports the Line 1B mandate for Enterprise Technology Services by providing essential governance and control functions such as audit facilitation, control testing, SOX compliance, and risk assessments. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across technology areas, including cloud, architecture, service management, and cybersecurity, with the opportunity to drive improvements from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and document control gaps across various technology domains
- Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive control descriptions
- Conduct control testing and support SOX and internal audit initiatives
- Assist in documenting and enhancing existing business and IT processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure control adherence and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a governance, risk, or control-related role
- Solid understanding of technology and cybersecurity risk management principles
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex issues
- Proven experience with IT control testing and reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or others)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience working in regulated environments or financial services
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
