This company is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of heating and cooling equipment for the North American school and condo/resort markets.

Reporting to the Supervisor for coils and risers, the Solderer / Brazer will solder or braze copper pipes and components onto HVAC subassemblies according to drawings and specifications. The individual prepares material by grinding, cutting and bending pieces of copper to ensure a proper fit when assembled.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret drawings and work orders in order to determine components, valves and soldering required to complete work according to job specifications
• Assemble, align, and clamp various sized copper pipes and valves onto coil or riser units to solder and/or braze components
• Complete tasks while ensuring performance targets quality standards are maintained

· Maintain proper and accurate documentation of production

· Performs regular equipment operation checks and reports maintenance requirements or defects to the Supervisor

· Follows “Safety First” philosophy

· Performs proper housekeeping and clean-up of welding booth

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent education

· Ability to read, interpret blueprints, drawings and work samples

· Minimum of 3 years of experience with Oxy-Acetylene Soldering/ Brazing

· Must be able to use hand and pneumatic tools

· Good hand and eye coordination

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Must have basic to intermediate computer skills

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to perform duties as required with minimal supervision

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
