The current need is for a ON-CALL Maintenance Handyperson to work in Burlington, ON.
Position: Maintenance Handyperson (not live in) - Residential Housing -- ON-CALL (do not apply if you are looking for full-time employment). Selected person must have insurance and WSIB.
The primary role of the Maintenance Handyperson is to:
- Complete approved maintenance work orders in a residential housing community within the established timelines.
- Maintain the physical condition of the housing community property, equipment, building, and facilities.
- Maintain, service, and repair all equipment and facilities.
- Maintain the storage yard and shed to established standards.
- Conduct routine scheduled property inspections.
- Schedule and coordinate on-site contractors for approved services.
- Complete and submit all required reports (property inspection, inventory, work order status, etc.).
- Assist and support the Management Office Staff when required.
- Work to be performed does not include work that requires a license (plumbing, electrical, etc.).

Key Qualifications:
- Medium-level plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and electrical skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Successfully pass a police vulnerable sector background check.
Pay: The rate is $25-35 per hour based on skills and experience.
