Maintenance Worker Elders Eagle Lodge

JOB SUMMARY:

Elders Eagle Lodge Maintenance Worker assist in the general upkeep of the Lodge and surrounding property. Elders Eagle Lodge Maintenance Workers demonstrate sensitivity and respect for those receiving maintenance assistance.

POSITION DUTIES:

Minor preventative maintenance, repairs and/or installation related to plumbing, heating, electrical, buildings and fixtures, machines, mechanical equipment

Installation and disinfecting of rehabilitative equipment

Retrieval of loan equipment

Seasonal cleaning

Assist PSWs by moving heavy furniture to allow for cleaning

Basic landscaping and yard maintenance

Maintenance and proper storage of program tools, supplies and equipment

Maintain an inventory of program tools, supplies and equipment

Emptying grease traps after hours

Monitor septic tanks, hot water tanks, gauges, air compressor etc.

Empty recycle bins daily

Buffing of floors throughout the building

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Must demonstrate enrollment as a full-time student in the previous academic semester school and be returning full time in the fall of 2025/2026 Academic school year

Must be eligible for Sagamok Anishnawbek ISETP program funding (member of Sagamok, valid SIN)

Must have, or be willing to obtain First Aid, WHMIS, & Health and Safety in 4 steps

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 education

Maintenance mechanic certificate

Minimum of 2 years experience working as maintenance worker
