The opportunity

Our client, a recognized provider of child, youth, and family psychotherapy services in Toronto's east end is seeking a Manager, Community Mental Health Services.

This is an opportunity to provide clinical supervision and leadership to a team of Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists. You will oversee outpatient core clinical services, lead the implementation of practice standards for measurement-based care, and collaborate with operational and data teams to enhance service delivery.

If you are a passionate clinical leader with a strong ethical foundation and a vision for equitable, evidence-based service delivery, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

This is a permanent, non-bargaining unit position, 35 hours per week, on-site five days per week.

What's in it for you

Transformational leadership. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior clinical leadership role that goes beyond oversight. You will influence how services are delivered, shape the clinical culture, and help design systems that make high-quality, community-based care more effective and accessible. You will take ownership of guiding a strong and capable team of clinicians through change, growth, and innovation.

Direct community impact. You will make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families in Scarborough, a community that faces complex and unique challenges. Every program you lead, every process you improve, and every staff member you support will contribute to creating a stronger safety net for those who need it most. Your clinical leadership will be directly tied to better outcomes for youth facing mental health and systemic barriers.

Professional depth and visibility. As part of a focused leadership team, you will work cross-functionally with operations, research, and executive leaders. You will gain exposure to strategy, systems development, evaluation frameworks, and service design at a high level. Your work will be seen, heard, and valued by the agency, the board, and external partners.

Alignment with values. This is a role for a leader who prioritizes equity, cultural humility, and trauma-informed practice, not just in theory, but in action. You will join a team that believes in and lives these values, supporting you as you embed them into policies, practice standards, and supervision.

Career momentum. Whether your long-term path is executive leadership, consulting, or deeper specialization in youth mental health, this position offers the complexity, scope, and strategic lens to build toward your next level. You will have access to coaching, leadership development, and a collaborative peer network.

Stability and structure. This is a full-time, permanent, in-office position with a well-established organization. You will have the operational support, data infrastructure, and administrative processes in place to focus on driving meaningful change without being stretched thin.

You will:

  • Deliver impactful services. Oversee the delivery of outpatient mental health services for children, youth, and families. Lead service delivery strategies and projects that align with clinical goals and sector shifts.
  • Lead and supervise a clinical team. Provide clinical and administrative supervision for therapists, guiding best practices in individual, family, and group therapy. Lead team meetings, and clinical rounds and facilitate cross-program consultation.
  • Foster data-driven practice. Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations and data teams to ensure robust data collection and meaningful evaluation of service impact. Ensure documentation is timely, accurate, and aligned with KPIs.
  • Ensure operational readiness. Manage program workflows, coordinate clinical schedules, and lead accreditation preparation. Monitor therapy quality through session reviews, file audits, and feedback.
  • Respond to incidents and risks. Review critical incidents and serious occurrences. Provide guidance on client and staff concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up. Consult on disciplinary procedures and staff relations.
  • Strengthen program performance. Lead annual work plans, establish clear objectives, and support performance management for your team. Identify training and development needs.
  • Promote equity, inclusion, and belonging. Embed cultural humility, anti-racist practice, and inclusive approaches in clinical delivery. Support continuous learning and model inclusive leadership.
  • Build strategic relationships. Engage with funders and community partners to support effective programming. Oversee acquisition of clinical resources and support service improvements in collaboration with other leaders.

You bring:

  • Education. You have a Master's degree in a psychotherapy-related field. You are registered with a regulated health college in Ontario with authorization to deliver the controlled act of psychotherapy. You have a clinical supervisory designation for psychotherapy and family therapy. You participate in ongoing education in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles.
  • Clinical leadership. You have three years of experience delivering individual and family psychotherapy and additional time providing clinical supervision. You have experience managing program delivery, quality assurance, and clinical risk. You are familiar with DBT, trauma-informed care, and family systems work.
  • Management experience. You have four years in a management role in a youth mental health or related setting with a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and resolve complex challenges. Experience working in Scarborough or similar communities is preferred.
  • Equity and ethics orientation. You are committed to ethical practice and high personal integrity and you have a proven ability to foster inclusive workplace culture. You have experience implementing equity strategies and addressing Anti-Black Racism.
