Dietary Aide Elders Eagle Lodge

JOB SUMMARY:

The position of the Dietary Aide must be capable of preparing food following instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. They must be competent and conscientious with a customer/client centered focus.

The goal is to provide excellent food services and meet client expectations by following instructions and standards.

POSITION DUTIES:

Meal prep assistance under supervision of dietary manager/cook

Serving clients at meal service

Setting up tables/dining area with attention to cleanliness/sanitation

Take down dining area and collect plates, glasses etc.

Discard leftover food from client plates to garbage

Assist in keeping track of client intake on charts

Clean food stations and wash dishes, cook ware and utensils using all equipment in accordance with standards and operational instructions

Assisting with meals on wheels tray line and delivery to drivers

Recording all community client home deliveries

Recording food temperatures

Assisting with planning and implementation of food service activities, auxiliary catering

Assist with budget accounting

Assist with procurement of stock and inventory

Reading, following standard recipes

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

1. Must demonstrate enrollment as a full-time student in the previous academic semester school and be returning full time in the fall of 2025/2026 academic school year

2. Must be eligible for Sagamok Anishnawek ISETP program funding 9member of Sagamok, valid SIN)

3. Must have, or be willing to obtain First Aid, WHMIS, & health and Safety in 4 Steps

QUALIFICATIONS:

Drivers license would be an asset

First aid

CPIC

Minimum grade 12

Interested in health promotion

Experience in customer service

Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
