The Role

An established design firm is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Intermediate Interior Designer to join their team on-site in Vancouver. This position involves leading small to mid-size projects independently and supporting senior designers on larger-scale assignments. The successful candidate will bring strong technical skills, a keen design eye, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage interior design projects from concept through completion.
• Support senior designers in design development and execution for larger-scale projects.
• Develop and present creative, cohesive design proposals to clients.
• Create detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models using design software.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and manage permitting processes as required.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in residential interior design.
• Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of BC building codes and permitting procedures.
• Project Management: Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of interior design work.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills.
